Home‑based – Candidate must be able to travel easily to Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire.

Salary: £37,829 per annum + £750 Homeworking Allowance per annum + £1,500 Out of Hours allowance per annum (once on the rota).

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Permanent.

The Role

You’ll work closely with foster carers and social work colleagues to deliver high‑quality, trauma‑informed support and improve outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a diverse range of foster carers and children
  • Ensure children are safe, well‑cared for and achieve positive outcomes in line with TACT policies
  • Undertake Form F assessments where needed
  • Facilitate regular support groups and learning opportunities, including delivery of training
  • Develop the service and support colleagues
  • Record and update CHARMS and other appropriate central/social work systems
  • Participate in Out of Hours Service
  • What You’ll Need
  • Appropriate social work qualification
  • Up‑to‑date registration with Social Work England
  • Minimum of 2 years post‑qualifying experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
  • Experience in supporting and supervising 10–12 foster families to meet complex needs of looked‑after young people
  • Proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development
  • Experience in group work and/or delivery of training
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children’s Act and NMS Fostering Standards
  • Experience working with/supporting looked‑after children and their foster carers
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and self‑organise efficiently
  • Capability of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participation in virtual meetings and webinars
  • Enhanced DBS / PVG (processed by TACT)
