Well⦠let me put you at ease.
I have placed 7 Devs here personally, from Mid, Senior to Lead, and they all say it is the best place they have worked (cringe/clichΓ© but true). Also, the average tenure for their team of 30 Devs is about 4-5 years.
These Devs all came from places in Manchester that are considered to have \βgreat devs\β, so the codebase must be somewhat decent. I am not saying it is perfect, because what codebase is?

- 30% β Mentoring a team of 5 developers alongside your Engineering Manager
- 40% β Hands-on coding
All Lead Developers at this place get a considerable amount of time to code and have consistent exposure to architecture.
A lot of the work you will be doing is working on the greenfield project they are about to start, as well as breaking down a massive monolith into microservices.
Tech you will be working with on day one is: .NET 8, AWS, SQL with Event-Driven Architecture, Microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC with Terraform.
