About the job
As an Electrical Wholesale Apprentice at CEF your daily duties will include:
- Serving customers over the counter
- Dealing with customers via the phone and online
- Picking orders from the warehouse
- Booking in deliveries, putting goods away, loading the van and keeping the whole branch tidy
- Working as part of the internal branch team and network to ensure our customers receive the best service
- Driving the van as & when required (age dependant, not essential).
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
From day one you will be assigned a coach who will work with you for your first year, meeting you and your manager every month to provide training in the workplace. On successful completion of your program you will have achieved the Level 2 Trade Supplier Standard, Maths & English Functional Skills qualifications and have acquired a wealth of industry knowledge.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Applicants are recommended to be age 16-20 years old. CEF are renowned for promoting within, almost all of our board of Directors started their careers as Sales Assistants and Van Drivers. On successful completion of your program, with hard work, you will have opportunities to progress into the following roles:
- Full time Sales Assistant
- Assistant Manager
- Account Manager
- Branch Manager
