We are looking for an Industrial Hygiene Technician to support the delivery of high-quality occupational hygiene services to energy and commercial clients. You’ll be responsible for identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace health hazards, working closely with client HSE teams to ensure compliance with UK legislation and best practice. This is a full-time, permanent role working on a hybrid basis, split between home and our Aberdeen clinic.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace exposure assessments (chemicals, VOCs, H₂S, silica, noise, vibration)
  • Carry out noise surveys, LEV assessments, and air quality monitoring
  • Prepare COSHH assessments and manage safety data within iCOSHH
  • Produce technical reports and present findings to clients
  • Support PPE and respiratory protection programmes
  • Deliver hygiene training and support occupational health programmes
  • Assist with project delivery, proposals, and audits
  • Maintain and manage hygiene equipment

About you

  • Experience or knowledge of occupational hygiene or health risk management
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • High attention to detail with good data handling skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Familiar with health & safety legislation
  • Proficient in IT systems
  • Offshore or industrial experience
  • Audit or assurance experience
  • Working towards BOHS certification
  • Degree or equivalent experience

Additional requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and occasional offshore work
