Tabs is excited to be seeking to appoint a CYF Worker. Based in Penarth, near Cardiff, we have a growing Children and Youth Ministry with weekly outreach in our community. Around twenty young people attend church each week, with many actively serving in church life. Over seventy children and young people regularly attend our Friday night ministries, Thrive and Thrive Plus.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves Jesus, enjoys people, and has a passion to help children, young people and families grow in faith, confidence and belonging.
The Role
The successful applicant will lead and develop ministry among children, young people and families helping them to:
- encounter Jesus personally
- grow as disciples
- belong within the life of the church
- share faith confidently in everyday life
The role combines hands-on ministry with leadership and vision. We are looking for someone who can teach God's word to children and youth in an engaging and contemporary way, whilst also building teams, encouraging volunteers and developing strong relationships with families and the wider community. Experience in children’s and/or youth ministry is essential, and relevant ministry or theological training would be an advantage.
