Ta' Turu Store is a French creperie and champagne bar, mainly serving savory galettes and sweet crepes, as well as excellent coffee, matcha and French cider.
Responsibilities:
- Make and plate our complex crepes (an aesthetic eye is crucial; prior experience making crepes is not required for a candidate with several years of professional chef experience, but would be a plus)
- Make other dishes – omelettes, salads, etc. and potentially expand into a broader French evening menu
- Interact with guests
- Maintain the highest hygiene and health and safety standards
Ability to interact with guests and multitasking is essential, as is the ability to work in a small team. For the right person, this would be an opportunity to influence the place and its development, e.g., into dinner service.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience making crepes or native/fully fluent French would significantly differentiate you as a candidate.
- Candidates with several years of professional chef experience are welcome to apply.
- In an ideal world you’ll be great at making beautiful and tasty crepes AND excellent barista-level coffee, but that’s not a requirement as that is only needed for a couple of less busy shifts.
Compensation:
Compensation includes an hourly rate plus an additional £2-4 per hour on average.
