Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling new role at an excellent primary school in St Albans? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant who can work full-time with a Year 5 student until the end of the academic year. You will be expected to provide calm support, helping them excel in their overall development.

You will need to:

  • Work as a SEN Teaching Assistant by attending to the education, personal and social needs of the pupil.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Help support the teaching of literacy, numeracy and other specific curriculum areas.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of the SEN students and how to best support them.
  • A calm and patient personality
  • Confidence in maintaining a good code of behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
