Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling new role at an excellent primary school in St Albans? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant who can work full-time with a Year 5 student until the end of the academic year. You will be expected to provide calm support, helping them excel in their overall development.
You will need to:
- Work as a SEN Teaching Assistant by attending to the education, personal and social needs of the pupil.
- Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to child protection and safeguarding.
- Help support the teaching of literacy, numeracy and other specific curriculum areas.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant
- Strong knowledge of the SEN students and how to best support them.
- A calm and patient personality
- Confidence in maintaining a good code of behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
