Now seeking a Support Mentor and Intimate Care Specialist to join on a temporary basis in Worcestershire. The role An Intimate Care & Support Mentor to join the team at their campus based in Pershore to support students in classes with special educational needs. Hours: Full-time – Monday to Friday (37 hours) Contract Duration: Commencing asap – ongoing Pay rate: £15-£22 p/hr You will take responsibility for: * Providing in-class support or mentoring outside the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis to meet individual student needs, including assistance with intimate care as directed * Assisting lecturers with preparing and maintaining materials or activities tailored to students, fostering independent learning through positive behaviour strategies. * Maintaining accurate records of student progress and performance on ProMonitor and contributing to student reports. * Collaborating with the Personal Learning Adviser to monitor and review individual targets and communicating with parents when appropriate. * Supporting students with transport arrangements at the start and end of the day and accompany them on work placements, trips, or residential activities as needed. * Participating in departmental meetings, training, and development programs, including Team Teach training. What you need It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following: * GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English (Grade A-C). * Knowledge and understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and behaviour management. * Previous experience in a student support/mentoring position or similar. * Knowledge of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) * An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months is required for this role. Other DESIRABLE skills include: * Previous experience working as a support mentor or similar role in a college/higher education setting * Familiarity with ProMonitor or similar record-keeping systems.
