How to prepare for a job interview at T3AM Global

Know Your SEND Stuff

Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Be ready to discuss specific strategies you've used in the classroom, especially for pupils with ASC, SEMH, ADHD, and other complex needs. This shows that you’re not just familiar with the theory but have practical experience too.

Showcase Your Empathy

During the interview, highlight your patient and empathetic approach. Share examples of how you've supported learners emotionally and socially. This is crucial for a SEND Teacher role, so make it clear that you understand the importance of creating a nurturing environment.

Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect scenario-based questions where you might need to demonstrate your behaviour management skills or how you would handle specific situations in the classroom. Think of real-life examples from your past experiences that showcase your adaptability and problem-solving abilities.

Engage with the Interviewers

Don’t forget that interviews are a two-way street! Prepare thoughtful questions about the school’s approach to SEND, their support systems, and how they foster collaboration among teachers, TAs, and families. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you assess if it’s the right fit for you.
