About the Company
A well-established and growing general haulage business based in Tamworth is expanding its transport operation and is now looking to recruit experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join its professional driving team. Specialising in nationwide distribution of palletised goods, this is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers seeking long-term, consistent work.
The Role
- Trunking and RDC-to-RDC deliveries
- Nationwide deliveries across the UK
- No handball – all palletised freight
- Ensuring all delivery and transport paperwork is completed accurately
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Operating in line with DVSA regulations, drivers’ hours, and Working Time Directive requirements
- Delivering a professional service representing both the business and its customers
Requirements
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points (No DR, DD, IN endorsements)
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network
- A professional attitude with strong safety awareness
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
