A highly respected national membership body is seeking a senior compliance leader to step into a pivotal, business-critical role. This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead a multi-disciplinary compliance function at a time of significant change, including the introduction of a new independent Regulatory Board.
You will inherit a skilled team across audit, investigations, risk and administration, with the scope to influence structure, policy and future direction. We are looking for a credible, confident leader who can balance professional standards with a human, pragmatic approach. Someone who is firm but fair, data-led, and able to command a room equally comfortable leading strong personalities as presenting to senior stakeholders and boards.
Essential skills & experience:- Senior leadership experience within Compliance, Regulation, Risk or Governance
- Proven ability to interpret data, assess risk and drive informed action
- Strong people leadership skills across multi-disciplinary teams
- Gravitas and presence able to influence, challenge and hold others to account
- Experience operating within a regulated or standards-driven environment
- Confidence presenting at senior leadership / board level
- A balanced, pragmatic approach upholding standards without alienating stakeholders
Property sector experience is not essential. What matters is your ability to lead in a complex, regulated environment with nuance, authority and empathy. This role is being handled on a confidential basis.
