T2M Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering business for a Service Manager to lead a small, but specialist team of engineers to service industrial test and measurement equipment. The role will involve providing day-to-day management of the service team as well as technical support to engineers and customers.
Key duties as a Service Manager:
- Leading the Service Team to deliver exceptional maintenance and service for clients.
- Liaising with customers to evaluate service requirements and provide technical support.
- Scheduling and allocating engineers for business requirements.
- Identifying and communicating warranty timeframes.
- Providing quotes and costings to sales teams.
- Building expert level knowledge of products.
- Driving growth of the service team revenues through upselling.
- Ensuring Engineers have required training and resources to complete work.
- Attending client sites to provide quotes and servicing.
Requirements to be successful as a Service Manager:
- Experience in leading teams of engineers to deliver maintenance/servicing.
- Degree or similar qualifications in engineering discipline.
- Positive in communicating and presenting to customers.
- Proven as a service/maintenance engineer with industrial machinery.
- Strong operational and administrative management skills.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Confident with IT systems: Office, SAP, and ERP systems.
This will be a hybrid role from the HQ in Warwick, a UK Driving License is essential as there will be travel to client sites when required to meet with customers and support service engineers.
