T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Supplier Quality Engineer on behalf of a cutting edge technology business that design and build their own electro-mechanical products for the motorsport, automotive, aerospace, and defence industries.
Key duties of a Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting of supplier quality issues.
- Attending supplier sites to complete audits and investigations.
- Working closely with procurement and supply chain teams.
- Ensure that supplier quality assurance meets the needs of engineering and manufacturing departments.
- Developing and presenting supplier reports for teams across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement across the quality and manufacturing areas.
- Supporting NPI teams to ensure suppliers can meet project specifications.
- Creating corrective action plans and implementing them with suppliers.
Requirements to be successful as a Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Degree level qualification in mechanical, automotive, or motorsport engineering or similar.
- Previous experience in quality engineering with suppliers.
- Strong problem solving and engineering skills.
- Knowledge of ISO****, AS****, and IATF*****.
- Understanding of APQP deliverables – FMEA, Control plans, 8D, root cause analysis, and PPAP.
- Internal Auditor qualifications/experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Materials engineering knowledge.
- Knowledge of electromechanical and mechanical products with multiple components.
- Clear and confident communicator with internal teams as well as clients.
The Supplier Quality Engineer position will be office based and a full UK driving license is required for travel to customer sites.
