Over a million customers, thousands of products, with over 40 years in business. Building on their strong market position, my client is looking to expand their software team as they have a number of projects in the pipeline, developing their internal business systems covering a diverse technical environment including websites, web applications, mobile and cloud.
What will you be doing:
- You’ll be developing new features, maintaining existing ones and supporting across the business application architecture which would include various integrations, ticketing systems, sales order processing, invoicing, warehousing, logistics and CRM systems, mainly built with C# and ASP.net but some legacy bits with vb.
About you:
- You’ll be comfortable with web development using a Microsoft development stack, leaning towards the back end but with full stack development experience, so you’ll know your way around winforms or webforms and know how to build a SQL report.
- You’ll probably be the type of person who can’t leave obvious improvements on the table, able to understand and develop requirements directly with users.
Why you’ll love it here:
It’s like working in a mini software house without all of the aggro. They operate as a mini software development business looking after and improving a variety of applications they have built from the ground up with minimal off the shelf stuff, so it’s a mature development environment, with an established codebase and proper development practices. If you like getting under the nuts and bolts, connecting, integrating or making things more efficient, then this is the environment for you. They also have their own knowledge hub, future leaders programme and succession management plans that YOU could be a part of, with an internal talent academy focusing on building, developing and a commitment to growing internal opportunities for their staff, opening up development and promotional opportunities once you have a foot in the door, the dev team are a friendly and hardworking bunch too!
On top of the usual benefits including things like 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, they also include things like the cycle to work scheme, discounted gym membership, counselling and employee assistance programme as well as pick and choose benefits options too.
