T2M Resourcing are working on behalf of a successful and growing business who are part of a larger group and have an opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance or accounts experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy.

As Accounts Assistant you will provide day-to-day operational support across core accounting activities, ensuring financial data is accurate, up to date, and aligned with internal procedures. You will support key finance processes including purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities as Accounts Assistant will include:
- Support month-end reporting and assist with preparation of financial reports
- Handle finance queries from staff, suppliers, and customers
- Ensure financial processes are followed in line with internal procedures
- Support general ledger processes as directed by the Finance Manager
- Assist with external audit preparation
Purchase Ledger:
- Code purchase invoices to the correct nominal codes
- Post invoices to relevant supplier accounts
- Check invoice authorisation and VAT accuracy
- Resolve debit balance account issues
Sales Ledger:
- Raise sales invoices accurately
- Produce and issue customer KPIs
- Allocate incoming payments correctly
Banking & Payments:
- Reconcile bank statements with the cash book
- Set up supplier payments and process proforma invoices
- Allocate supplier payments to the relevant accounts
About You:
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping support role
- Studying towards AAT
- Experience preparing basic financial reports
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams
- A proactive approach and ability to meet deadlines
