T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Finance Business Partner on behalf of a leading international manufacturing business. This role will be an on-site role (4 days a week) and require travel to other sites in the UK.
As Finance Business Partner you will be a partner to the site operational teams providing operational, financial, commercial and procurement support for a number of sites as well as influencing decision making and enhancing financial performance capabilities. You will be responsible for providing quality financial reporting, analysis, and data-led insights & analysis to drive strategy, efficiency, cost management and identifying risks and opportunities.
Main responsibilities in this Finance Business Partner role will include:
- Lead on financial forecasting processes for each site (budget, quarterly forecast, ad hoc forecasting)
- Participation in local site and operational management meetings
- Provide detailed analysis and presentation of forecasts to senior operations and finance colleagues
- Participate in close collaboration with the management of the sites, in the development of action plans resulting from relevant analysis in order to achieve operational targets, increase financial profitability and cash optimisation
- Ensure reliability of standard costing, with annual update aligned to budget
- Provide all necessary controlling analysis including insightful variance analysis against budget/forecast/standards, margin analysis to include impact of variances resulting from changes in selling price/unit cost/commodity prices
- Control and manage the sites’ operating cash flow
- Analyse how commercial forecasts align to current and planned stock holdings in order to advise on optimum stock holding levels
- Management of financial elements of stock counts providing support to external auditors
- Establish & oversee regular site KPI’s, providing quality analysis of deviations from expectations
- Lead role on managing month end and year end processes for sites
- Support site operations & commercial management with financial elements of new projects
- Ensuring that business processes for each site, and internal controls are maintained, improved and followed
To be successful in this Finance Business Partner role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:
- A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
- Prior experience working in a sizeable manufacturing business is essential
- Excellent people skills with the ability to influence and engage
- Excellent analysis and reporting skills with ability to present complex matters in an understandable format to finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Collaborative working together to achieve best outcome achieving common aims
- Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent IT skills including extensive use of Excel and ERP, preferably SAP.
