T2M Resourcing have been appointed to recruit this key role for an international private equity backed engineering services group, with operations throughout Europe and the US.

As Group Head of HR, you will work closely with the CEO, the Executive Team, and investors and be responsible for delivering the people elements of business strategy. You will drive a significant change agenda, support the strategic growth ambitions of the business and play a key role in expanding the business geographically and across different sectors.

This role will be home based and will require 2 days a week in the office (central London). The role will require regular travel within the UK, also frequent international travel to countries such as France, Germany, Poland, and the USA.

  • Location: Home based with 2 days a week required in central London plus international travel.
  • Salary: Up to £120K subject to experience plus benefits.

What will you be doing?

As Group Head of HR, key responsibilities will include:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Executive Team, and investors.
  • Lead the global HR function and manage a lean central HR team, overseeing regional HR teams via a matrix structure.
  • Translate the company’s commercial strategy into an aligned people strategy that delivers on growth, transformation, and value creation goals.

Organisational Development & Transformation

  • Drive the transformation agenda, including organisational design, M&A integration, and workforce planning, to build a scalable and agile operating model.

Performance Culture & Talent Management

  • Embed a performance-led culture, integrating strengths with systems, processes, and tools to improve insight and decision-making.
  • Lead the design and implementation of talent management and succession planning frameworks.
  • Champion learning and development initiatives.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee all core HR functions, ensure that fit-for-purpose policies and procedures are in place across all HR disciplines and tailored to local market needs.
  • Maintain a robust approach to international employment law and employee relations, with a focus on consistency and legal compliance.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Drive engagement and measure sentiment, developing action plans in response to feedback.
  • Build and continuously evolve the Employee Value Proposition.
  • Act as a champion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I).

Systems & Tools

  • Support the evolution of HR systems and technology to increase automation.
  • Partner with RPO providers and external partners to ensure scalable talent acquisition solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with regional HR leads, business leaders, and project managers to ensure alignment on people priorities. Build strong relationships with private equity stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

To be successful as Group Head of HR, you will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Proven track record of leading HR in a multi-site, international engineering, industrial services, or project-led business.
  • Experience operating at both strategic and operational levels in complex, international, matrix environment.
  • Demonstrable success in leading transformation, organisational design, and post-merger integration.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Experience developing and delivering global people strategies that align with rapid growth objectives.
  • Understanding of international employment law and global HR practices.
  • Track record in building high-performing teams and implementing performance management systems.
  • Energetic and visible leader who inspires trust and motivates teams through a hands-on and pragmatic approach.
  • Collaborative and influential communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and results-focused, with a passion for operational excellence.
  • Culturally intelligent with cross-border experience and a willingness to travel regularly.
  • Skilled in using technology and data analytics to support decision-making (advanced MS Office/Excel skills advantageous).
