Customs & Excise Analyst T2M Resourcing are working with an innovative and multibillion turnover market leader who, due to growth and expansion have a newly created role for a Customs & Excise Analyst to join their team. * Competitive Salary circa £35,000 + Discretionary Bonus & Benefits Package * Hybrid Working – 3 days office based – Manchester * The genuine opportunity for career progression * Location is accessible by bus, car (free parking), cycle, rail In this unique role as Customs & Excise Analyst, you’ll work at the intersection of finance, compliance, and operations, ensuring the accurate accounting and reporting of the UK’s customs and excise liabilities. You’ll play a key part in maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations, while supporting the monthly duty and accounting close processes. As Customs & Excise Analyst your remit will include: * Review, consolidate and prepare monthly excise duty liabilities * Ensure accurate accounting of customs and excise duty in line with reporting timetables * Forecast excise duty gains/losses and report variances to budget * Support compliance across UK terminals, ensuring all licenses and deferment limits are maintained * Liaise with HMRC and local agents on customs and excise matters * Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance and operations What we’re looking for * Experience in accounting or tax within a similar environment * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or a related field * Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) * Strong Excel skills and analytical ability * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail So, what’s in it for you?
