We are looking for a motivated and organised Learner Onboarding Coach to join our team and play a key role in supporting learners as they begin their apprenticeship journey within the Health & Social Care sector.
About the Role
As a Learner Onboarding Coach, you will provide a structured and supportive onboarding experience for new learners, ensuring they are fully prepared and engaged at the start of their programme. You will work closely with learners and employers to ensure enrolments are completed accurately, expectations are clear, and learners are set up for success from the outset. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, learner engagement, and delivering high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a caseload of learners throughout the onboarding process
- Complete learner enrolments via Microsoft Teams alongside employers
- Ensure learner suitability and eligibility in line with funding requirements
- Accurately complete all associated onboarding and enrolment documentation
- Coordinate initial programme activities including workshops, Functional Skills support, and Additional Learning Support requirements
- Conduct progress reviews to ensure learners remain on track with their learning plan
- Support the embedding and recording of Off-the-Job Training
- Build strong, professional relationships with both learners and employers to encourage engagement from day one
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- A genuine passion for education, learner development, and quality
- Occupational competence within the Health & Social Care sector at either:
- Level 3 – Lead Adult Care Worker
- Level 5 – Care Management
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners and employers while maintaining professional boundaries
- Excellent IT skills and confidence using digital platforms
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within the apprenticeship or work-based learning sector
- Experience delivering learning and development solutions
- Experience in employer or client engagement
- Health & Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above
- Teaching or assessing qualification such as:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Competence
- Or equivalent/higher qualification
