T2 Group is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Financial Controller to lead our financial control, reporting, governance and business partnering activities across the group. Working closely with the CEO, CFO and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, delivering high-quality reporting, supporting commercial decision-making, and developing a high-performing finance function.

The Role

As Group Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the group's financial reporting and control framework, ensuring the integrity of financial information and supporting effective decision-making across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Leadership
    • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
    • Foster a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement
    • Partner with senior leaders across the organisation
    • Provide expert financial guidance and constructive challenge
  • Financial Reporting & Control
    • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles
    • Oversee group consolidations and statutory accounts preparation
    • Ensure robust balance sheet management and reconciliations
    • Maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks
    • Drive improvements to finance systems, reporting and processes
  • Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities
    • Deliver insightful financial analysis and performance reporting
    • Support investment decisions, strategic initiatives and business cases
    • Provide commercial insight to improve business performance
  • Governance, Audit & Compliance
    • Lead internal and external audit activities
    • Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory compliance
    • Strengthen risk management and internal control frameworks
    • Keep abreast of accounting and regulatory developments

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in financial leadership.

Essential Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience in a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Senior Finance Manager position
  • Strong experience in group reporting, financial control and statutory accounts
  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
  • Experience improving financial processes, systems and controls
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering to tight deadlines

Desirable Experience

  • Multi-entity or group structure experience
  • Mergers, acquisitions or business integration projects
  • Treasury, cash flow and working capital management
  • Finance systems implementation or optimisation
  • Experience supporting business growth and transformation initiatives
