We are currently recruiting for a Duty Security Officer to join the 5 Star May Fair Hotel.
Role Overview
As a Duty Security Officer, you will be a visible, reassuring presence throughout the hotel. You will protect the wellbeing of guests and staff, respond swiftly to incidents, and ensure that all security procedures are followed to the highest standard. You will work closely with Front of House and the Management team to maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere befitting a luxury establishment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain constant awareness of hotel activity, ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and assets.
- Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces, and perimeter zones.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns.
- Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and alarm panels in accordance with hotel protocols.
- Support the management of lost property, incident reporting, and daily security logs.
- Assist with VIP arrivals, high‑profile events, and crowd management when required.
- Enforce hotel policies while delivering exceptional guest service.
- Liaise with external emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications

- Previous experience in hotel security, corporate security, or a similar guest‑facing role.
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.

- Excellent observational skills and a proactive mindset.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
