We're looking for a proactive candidate to inspect plant and equipment to ensure compliance with PUWER and LOLER regulations and provide quality control of repair and maintenance work carried out on site.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Carry out LOLER inspections of plant and machinery.
- Carry out PUWER inspections of plant and machinery.
- Carry out inspection of work carried out by plant fitters on site to maintain quality and standards.
- Carry out LOLER inspections of chains and lifting equipment.
- Generate LOLER and PUWER certificates for record keeping.
- Assist plant manager with technical and warranty queries and issues.
- Carry out off-hire inspections of owned plant.
- Provide technical support to sites and plant team.
- Light plant fitting duties such as jump-starting machines and changing fuel filters.
- Monitor condition of plant assets.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of plant and machinery commonly used in construction.
- Diagnostic and fault finding skills.
- Proactive nature to identify potential maintenance requirements to limit future repair costs.
- IT skills to generate reports and certificates.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Working Location / Hours:
Location - the role will cover sites based in the East Midlands and East of England with a Head Office in Northampton. Working Hours - 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
