T Vaughan Ltd is a specialist Enabling, Groundworks, Civil Engineering and RC Frame company based in Brentwood, Essex. We employ a select group of individuals with the professional knowledge and practical skills to provide a high-quality service, tailored to our clients' needs. Current projects range in value from 500k to £10 million. As a company we operate within a fast-paced environment across a diverse range of projects primarily in London and the South East but with projects stretching across the whole of England. We are currently experiencing a period of sustained growth and require an experienced Construction Planner to join our team in Brentwood.
About the Role
T Vaughan Ltd.’s nominated Construction Planner will have the main responsibilities but not limited to:
- Developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- This role requires strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules from tender stage to completion along with ongoing progress updates, droplines and as-builts.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with Senior Management, Project Managers and site teams to ensure programme adherence.
- Analyse project data and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Assist in planning resource allocation, logistics, and sequencing of work.
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify potential scheduling conflicts.
- Provide input into tender submissions, ensuring realistic and achievable timelines.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to align schedules and project delivery plans.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and programme requirements.
Requirements:
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction planning.
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and project management principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in both pre-construction and live project planning is desirable.
