We are seeking Assistant Quantity Surveyors to support the commercial delivery of infrastructure projects. You will assist with cost management, contract administration and financial oversight, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget and to TSS’s high standards of quality and compliance. Working closely with Senior and Quantity Surveyors, you will gain hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle, develop commercial skills and build the foundations for a successful career in quantity surveying.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost estimation and budgeting, including preparation and analysis of supply chain tender packages.
- Support contract administration and delivery of commercial processes to the highest standards.
- Review tender documents and assist with submission preparation and adjudication.
- Evaluate project costs and margins, identifying risks and supporting commercial strategies to protect profitability.
- Support communication and co‑ordination with project teams, clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain procurement schedules and assist with supply chain management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and company standards.
- Conduct research, cost analysis and benchmarking to support commercial decision‑making.

- Strong numerical and financial analysis skills.

- Knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting and cost management principles.
- Understanding of construction practices and contract law.
- Familiarity with tendering and procurement processes.

Experience & Qualifications
- Hold, or be working towards, a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a relevant professional environment.
- Experience with cost estimation, budgeting and health and safety protocols.
- Working towards membership of a relevant professional body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Experience in a consultancy environment.
- Familiarity with commercial or project management software.
