The Multi-Asset Investment Liaison acts as a key catalyst for growth and collaboration within Global Investment Operations. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our Multi-Asset investment management and various operational teams, actively enhancing your subject matter expertise through on-the-job learning and mentorship. You will play a vital role in supporting portfolio management operations, representing our investment strategies to internal groups, and facilitating effective communication with the investment staff. You will contribute to team building, knowledge sharing, and spearhead departmental initiatives such as new system development, testing, and working group support.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and analyzing investment and performance data.
  • Generating bespoke investment-, risk-, and performance-related reporting, providing operational support for model portfolios, and ensuring coordination of responses on corporate action events.
  • Resolving pre-trade compliance issues.
  • Maintaining strategy-level data, benchmarks, and performance composites.
  • Processing discretionary trade orders.
  • Resolving low to moderately complex investment-related operational issues independently.
  • Reviewing prospectus language, proposing investment guidelines, instructing opening of foreign market trading accounts, and establishing standing instructions with internal and external parties.
  • Coordinating portfolio manager responses to ad hoc and recurring quantitative investment-related data inquiries posed by internal teams, clients, consultants, and prospects.
  • Drafting responses to complex requests for review by more experienced managers.
  • Reviewing content and sources of standard investment data for use in client meetings, marketing materials, client reporting, and internal investment committee meetings.
  • Developing content as directed by investment staff and senior team members.
  • Serving as a project participant on investment-initiated projects, including developing use cases and testing plans and participating in unit testing.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete procedural documentation for assigned strategies, participating in cross-training exercises, and providing operational coverage as needed.
  • Training new employees on policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 2+ years of total relevant work experience in a similar position within Investment Management.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills, particularly Excel with some previous experience of VBA beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in investment reporting.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity or interest in utilizing Python and SQL.
  • Applies consultative approach when interacting with stakeholders and peers; requires interaction with associates at all levels.
  • Intellectually curious and ability to apply critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Ability to coach and influence peers without direct supervisory oversight.
  • Completion of or progress towards a CFA or MBA.

Work Flexibility

This position is eligible for hybrid working with one day a week from home.
