Team SummaryThe Client Implementation Management team is responsible for facilitating and leading the onboarding process for both new and existing clients across various investment vehicles, including Institutional Separate Accounts and Sub-Advised accounts. The team maintains a comprehensive understanding of each client mandate’s specific requirements and ensures that all key stakeholders are accountable for executing their respective responsibilities. The Client Implementation Management team oversees and project manages the onboarding process through to completion.
In addition to onboarding, the team manages change events throughout the client lifecycle, including coordinating transitions and terminations. The team also supports product launches—such as ETFs and mutual funds—and manages client onboarding into these products.
Role SummaryReporting to the Global Head of Client Implementation Management, the Director of EMEA Client Implementation Management will lead the EMEA Client Implementation Team. This individual will serve as both a people manager and coach, providing leadership and guidance to associates within the function.
Key responsibilities include:- Day-to-day team management, allocation of work, oversight of new projects and initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring robust oversight and controls.
- Personally oversee and project manage the most complex onboarding activities.
- Structured as a hybrid player-coach role, with responsibilities evenly split between leadership and direct project execution.
Client Implementation associates at T. Rowe Price serve as subject matter experts in client onboarding, product onboarding, and managing complex changes throughout the client lifecycle. The Client Implementation Management team partners closely with Client Account Services and Relationship Management teams to support the successful delivery of new client business, as well as to retain and expand existing relationships.
The team primarily supports the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, providing front-line project management for the implementation of new mandates and products, and overseeing change management activities across multiple investment vehicles offered by T. Rowe Price. Acting as a single point of contact for internal stakeholders involved in implementation processes, the team frequently coordinates project teams comprising 15–20 stakeholders.
The Client Implementation Management team is responsible for the end-to-end execution of onboarding and change initiatives. Additionally, they collaborate closely with Client Account Services to ensure a thorough understanding of client objectives and requirements, maintaining ongoing communication to optimize the overall client experience.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Client Implementation Management team in EMEA.
- Oversee end-to-end client onboarding and change management processes for a variety of investment vehicles.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of implementation professionals.
- Allocate team resources effectively to meet business objectives and client needs.
- Establish and maintain robust oversight, controls, and compliance standards.
- Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Relationship Management, Client Account Services, Investment Operations, and Legal & Compliance.
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and client experience.
- Act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk client onboarding and lifecycle events.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment of team goals with organizational objectives.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and support for professional development.
- Support new product launches and other strategic initiatives from an implementation perspective.
- Track key performance indicators and report on team progress to senior leadership.
- Contribute to the extended leadership team to discuss best practices and process improvements in the client onboarding journey.
- Work closely with other business units to develop and streamline workflow processes that impact the E2E client implementation process.
- Track and manage the EMEA opportunity pipeline from Salesforce and collaborating with Distribution on any opportunities that reach the final stage.
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 10+ years of total relevant work experience within the Asset Management industry with direct exposure to client onboarding and client lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams, ideally in a matrixed or regional (EMEA) environment.
- Proven track record of leading complex Separate Account client onboarding and change initiatives, including transitions, terminations, and non‐standard implementations.
- Solid knowledge of end‐to‐end onboarding processes for Separate Accounts and Institutional and Intermediary clients that invest into Mutual Funds, including legal, operational, regulatory, and client service dependencies.
- Familiarity with Mutual Fund launches.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations impacting client onboarding and lifecycle events in EMEA.
- Extensive experience partnering with Relationship Management, Client Account Services, Investment Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Ability to act as a single point of accountability for multi‐stakeholder implementation projects.
- Proven skills in senior stakeholder engagement, escalation management, and influencing.
- Strong client‐facing communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and confidently.
- Proven project management skills and capabilities in complex environments.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to support growth, retention, and expansion of client relationships.
- Exposure to Operations and a deep understanding of Mutual Funds and ETFs would be beneficial.
This position offers work from home flexibility for one day a week.
