We are currently looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our Distribution Centre based in Darlington. You will work closely with the Darlington Depot management team to ensure the completion of next day deliveries throughout the Darlington distribution area.

Position

  • Assisting the Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the site on a day-to-day basis
  • Providing driver, warehouse and trade counter cover during periods of holiday and absence
  • Overseeing site security and cleanliness
  • Ensuring the standards and KPI’s set by the company are met
  • Completing all relevant paperwork in line with Company procedures
  • Ensuring all drivers comply with EU Driver Rule legislation

The Person

  • Experience within an operations environment demonstrating ability to build, lead, manage and motivate a team
  • Good understanding of transport and warehousing functions
  • Forklift licence advantageous; training can be provided
  • Ability to work on own initiative required
  • Excellent customer service skills essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages advantageous
