Metal Fabricator / Welder – Full Time

T Nevill & Co Ltd is a leading metal fabrication company with decades of experience in producing high-quality bespoke metalwork for industries including construction, design, and engineering. From custom components to large-scale projects, we deliver precision metalwork using advanced fabrication and welding techniques.

We\'re looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our workshop team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled metalworker with TIG welding experience to develop further and work on a wide variety of specialist fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Metal Preparation – marking out, measuring, and cutting materials
  • Fabrication & Jig Making – building jigs, fixtures, and assemblies for production
  • Welding –TIG welding on a range of metals
  • Drilling & Tapping – precision drilling and tapping for bespoke parts
  • Milling & Turning – operating lathes and milling machines (vertical & horizontal)
  • CAD Drawing Interpretation – reading and working from technical drawings
  • Component Manufacturing – producing parts and assemblies to client specifications
  • Project Planning & Quality Control – organising workload and checking accuracy
  • Machine & Tool Maintenance – ensuring workshop equipment is kept in good condition
  • Finishing Operations – grinding, polishing, sanding, and surface treatments
  • Sheet Metal Fabrication – experience with guillotines, brake presses, and fly presses

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years\' experience in bespoke or specialist metal fabrication
  • Skilled in TIG welding
  • Strong knowledge of metal cutting, machining, and finishing techniques
  • Ability to work from CAD drawings and engineering designs
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering Operative (or equivalent)

Hours & Benefits

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (30-min unpaid lunch)
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
