About the Role
Job Overview
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for colleagues and visitors at all times.
- Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present food to high standards, adhering to company guidelines for quality, safety, and compliance.
- Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure all company administration, food safety procedures, and record-keeping requirements are met, including temperature logs and allergen management.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to COSHH standards, and assist with general kitchen duties, including pot wash and waste disposal.
- Stock Management: Manage stock and portion control, and follow guidelines to minimise waste.
- Food Safety Standards: Consistently record food and fridge/freezer temperatures, ensure proper storage, and label food items in accordance with food safety guidelines.
- Daily Administration: Complete daily bookwork, including Food Safety Diary entries and compliance with Natasha\’s law for allergen management.
- Collaborative Working: Work as part of a cohesive team, engaging with Catering Team Leaders, Managers, and other departments across the site to deliver consistent service.
Package Description
Salary & Hours
- £12.50 per hour (19% night shift allowance paid between 10pm – 6am).
- 6.5 hours per day (30 minute unpaid break).
- All shifts may include working weekends.
- Available shifts;

- Day shift – 18 hours per week (3 out of 7 days).
- Night shift – 24 hours per week (4 out of 7 days).

Minimum Criteria to Apply
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment, ideally in a fast-paced setting.
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety certificates.
- Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to think quickly, organise, and prioritise workload effectively.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Commitment to health, safety, and food safety standards.
