Join us at an exciting time of growth and investment! Are you an Agricultural Service Technician who lives in or around Shrewsbury, or the wider Shropshire region? Are you already operating at an advanced level and looking to apply your expertise within a respected and expanding dealer environment? We’re proud to share that T H WHITE Agriculture is expanding our New Holland dealership territory into Shropshire and Powys. As part of this next stage in our journey, we’re investing in a new regional depot (near Dorrington, just south of Shrewsbury) to strengthen our service support and ensure farmers across the area have the trusted advice, expert engineering and dependable aftersales care that define our name.
To support this, we’re recruiting for two experienced Agricultural Service Engineers. It’s an exciting time to become part of our business as you’ll gain both immediate opportunities by helping us to expand, and long-term career development as we establish our new operation in the region.
Hours: 39 hours a week, Mon- Thurs 08:00-17:00 Fri - 08:00-16:00. Additional overtime (paid at time and a half) is available earlier and later should you wish to earn more.
Key Duties will Include:
- Maintaining the reliability and performance of our customers’ machinery, combining both workshop and field-based service work.
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing tractors, combines, forage harvesters, balers, and telehandlers.
- Conducting advanced fault diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Completing complex repairs.
- Providing first-class technical support and customer service on-site and in the field.
- Maintaining accurate work records and ensuring high standards of safety and presentation.
The Ideal Applicant:
We’re looking for Agricultural Service Technicians with significant agricultural engineering experience, individuals confident in their ability to handle modern agricultural machinery to a manufacturer-recognised standard. You’ll need to have:
- A recognised apprenticeship, C&G or NVQ in Land based engineering or a transferable qualification.
- Strong diagnostic ability across engines, hydraulic and electronic systems.
- A precise, methodical approach and pride in workmanship.
- A customer-first attitude and the ability to work independently in the field.
- A full UK driving licence and currently live in the Shropshire county or surrounding area.
