This is a senior, trusted position where you will be an advisor to the CEO and Board, safeguarding governance, supporting strategic decisions and ensuring the business continues to grow on strong, compliant foundations. As Company Secretary, you'll be responsible for:
- Board governance, statutory compliance and Companies House filings
- Preparing and coordinating Board, committee and AGM meetings
- Advising directors on company law, governance standards and regulation
- Reviewing and advising on commercial contracts, leases and tenancy agreements
- Acting as a key link between the Board, shareholders and senior stakeholders and providing high level administrative and organisational support to the Group CEO
To succeed, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in a Company Secretary role or a legal background seeking a hands-on in-house position
- Ideally a degree in business, law, or accountancy or qualified by experience
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and company law
- The ability to apply sound commercial judgement in a complex group environment
- Be able to commute daily to the Devizes head office
