Apprenticeships are a great way to get industry experience and skills, in a hands-on working environment such as in the Agricultural industry. We run a comprehensive and practical apprenticeship scheme for persons aged 16 and over. Our apprentices should be practical, well-motivated and have obtained good grades at school. Apprentices attend a block release course at college where they receive practical training, working towards a qualification in Agricultural Engineering. All apprentices are offered training in forklift operation, grinding, welding and health & safety, as well as specialist product training from suppliers. Most apprentices start during or after the summer holidays, July – September. on this occasion we have a vacancy for a late starter.

On completion, all students would be qualified to NVQ Level 2 and most go on to achieve Level 3 – this is the equivalent of A Level qualifications.

This training route suits students who prefer a more β€˜hands on’ approach to learning. Many of the Managers, Sales Representatives and Heads of Department within the Company joined via the apprenticeship route.

Our policy is to promote staff within the Company to enable everyone to make maximum use of their skills and abilities and an understanding of the business at every level is a great help for anyone in a senior position.
