This is a full‑time, on‑site Cosmetic Compounder role based in Poole. The Cosmetic Compounder will be responsible for accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing raw materials according to batch records and standard operating procedures to produce cosmetic products. Daily activities include setting up and operating mixing and processing equipment, monitoring batch processing parameters, recording production data, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The role involves working closely with production, quality, and laboratory teams to troubleshoot issues, maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas, and support efficient changeovers between products. The Cosmetic Compounder will also assist with material handling, including the safe movement of ingredients and finished batches, and contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Strong compounding and batch processing skills, including accurate weighing, mixing, and following detailed batch documentation.
- Experience with quality control practices, including in‑process checks, documentation, and adherence to GMP and ISO standards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, quality, and technical teams and to report issues clearly and promptly.
- Forklift operation skills or willingness to train, with safe handling of raw materials and finished goods as required.
- Previous experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or chemical manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain detailed records, and work with attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfort with physical tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working around production equipment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills; vocational or technical training in manufacturing, chemistry, or a related field is an advantage.
