Technical Engineering Support (TES) is an engineering company created over 30 years ago, specializing in the coordination of tests and industrial commissioning. TES also supports its customers in participating in studies and coordinating the assembly of industrial equipment.
As part of our activity, we have a position to fill as Lead Hydro Test for the nuclear project Hinkley-Point UK.
Role Purpose: To manage and oversee the completion, accuracy, and compliance of hydrostatic test documentation (hydro test records) in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable codes and standards. The Records Discipline Lead will coordinate between engineering, construction, quality, and commissioning teams to ensure test packs are fully traceable, complete, and submitted on time.
Accountabilities:
- Single point of contact for hydrostatic test documentation (hydro test records).
- Technical expert liaison with MEH (Mechanical Electricity HVAC) Site and Assurance Leads.
- Interface with MEH completions/commissioning teams regarding CTP/EESR.
Key Deliverables:
- Lead the compilation, review, and approval process of hydrostatic test records for piping, pressure vessels, and systems.
- Ensure all hydro test packs are correctly documented, traceable, and in accordance with project standards and client specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC Inspectors, discipline engineers, test supervisors, Document Control & Records Team to track the status of hydro test packs.
- Maintain and update hydro test record trackers, registers, and databases.
- Support walkdowns, punch listing, and resolution of open items to close out test records.
- Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), welding records, and pressure test reports to ensure alignment and completeness.
- Liaise with client representatives for test pack sign-off and approvals.
- Provide support during audits (internal or external) and ensure full traceability of hydro test documentation.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of test record processes, procedures, and templates.
Prerequisites:
- Degree or diploma in engineering (mechanical preferred) or related STEM experience.
- Experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial construction projects.
- Proven experience in hydrostatic testing processes and documentation.
- Understanding of welding and NDT record integration.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for tracking/test pack registers.
- Knowledge of digital handover and turnover systems.
- Familiarity with codes and standards (e.g., ASME B313, EN standards).
- Strong understanding of project quality records and turnover processes.
- Experience with electronic documentation and test record systems.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Nuclear experience beneficial.
- Working in Alliance agreement projects.
