The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, problem-solving role where you will play a key part in keeping essential communication systems running when it matters most. Working evening/night shifts, you will:

  • Investigate and resolve radio faults across vehicles such as buses and trams
  • Take ownership of your workload, planning and prioritising tasks effectively
  • Ensure the right equipment is available, ordering and managing resources proactively
  • Deliver high-quality work with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, providing excellent service at all times
  • Support your team and contribute to a right first time approach to quality and customer satisfaction

You will be someone who takes pride in their work and represents TES positively in everything you do.

What we are looking for

We are keen to hear from engineers who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset. You will have:

  • A strong technical background with hands-on experience in radio systems
  • Knowledge of RF technologies such as DMR, Analogue, VHF and Cellular
  • Experience programming radio templates
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

A full UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.

  • Location: Leyland (on-site)
  • Role type: Full-time, permanent
  • Shift pattern: Evening / night shift 37.5 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday evenings/nights as standard - times will vary.
