TES is seeking an experienced Resourcing Coordinator to provide maternity cover within our North East delivery team. This role is critical to the safe and efficient delivery of possession management and operational activities and is suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑moving, safety‑critical environment. You will be responsible for allocating and managing high volumes of operational resources, often responding to late changes, whilst ensuring compliance with fatigue, competence, and contractual requirements.
Reporting to the Senior Delivery Manager, the Resourcing Coordinator plays a central role in operational delivery, acting as the link between frontline staff, delivery management, clients, and internal departments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Allocating staff and resources in line with risk ranking procedures and TES processes
- Assigning staff with the correct competencies, ensuring fatigue management, area familiarisation, and travel distance are considered
- Compiling and managing four‑weekly rosters across multiple grades
- Monitoring contractual hours and working time compliance (including the 60‑hour rule)
- Managing shortfalls by grade and supporting recruitment forecasting
- Maintaining and updating T5 documentation, shortfall trackers, and late change forms
- Managing frequent last‑minute changes and updating Network Rail documentation accordingly
Operationally, it requires strong judgement, confidence, and the ability to adapt quickly.
You must have:
- Strong geographical knowledge of the North East rail patch
- Proven experience in high‑volume rostering, ideally across multiple grades
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and confidence managing data and trackers
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deal confidently with multiple stakeholders
- The ability to think quickly and adapt to late operational changes
- Attention to detail in safety‑critical and compliance‑led environments
Desirable (but not essential):
- Understanding of possession management competencies and requirements

Ideally, candidates will hold (or be willing to work towards within an agreed timeframe): PTS, IWA, PSS.
