About The Opportunity
At TES, training and competence aren’t just admin tasks; they are critical to keeping people safe and projects moving across the rail network. We’re looking for a highly organised Training & Competence Administrator (Rail) to join our growing team and play a key role in making sure our people, and our clients, are trained, competent and fully compliant at all times. You’ll be at the heart of our training operation, coordinating courses and assessments, maintaining Sentinel and competence records, and making sure our systems and evidence are always audit‑ready. If you take pride in accuracy, enjoy structured work and like being the person who “keeps everything on track”, this role could be a great fit. You’ll work closely with Operations, Finance, People & Culture and external partners, acting as the go‑to person for training requests and enquiries.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating training and assessment activities from initial booking through to completion
- Managing training and competence data across OnTrack365, Sentinel and Skills Backbone
- Maintaining accurate records, certifications and evidence to meet rail and audit requirements
- Supporting Finance with purchase orders, invoicing and reconciliation
- Acting as a central point of contact for internal and external training enquiries
- Helping ensure TES remains compliant, organised and ready for inspection at any time
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and thrives in a process‑driven environment. You’ll ideally have:
- Strong administration experience with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working with structured processes and following them consistently
- Confidence dealing with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, compliance‑led environment
- Rail industry or Sentinel experience is desirable, but not essential – full support will be provided
