THE ROLE
My client, an established large firm of multi discipline construction consultants now seeks a QUANTITY SURVEYOR at either recently chartered level or a bit above that.
You will work on large commercial projects where you will work as part of a team and you will work on smaller commercial projects too.
You will also supervise an Apprentice / Trainee QS.
You will be involved in all aspects of Cost Management doing both pre and post contract duties including overseeing cost management and budget control, dealing directly with clients and stakeholders, preparing reports and maintaining project documentation, ensuring compliance with contracts etc.
You should be able to run your own projects as the Project Surveyor.
THE COMPANY
My client is a large firm of PQS providing a range of services including Project Management, Cost Management etc. on projects across a number of sectors.
They have offices in the UK and abroad.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK firm of PQS.
You should ideally be MRICS qualified from recently chartered upwards.
You will need to have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics or similar.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
You should have a stable work record.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills and have good client facing skills.
You should be able to work on multiple projects concurrently and also work as part of a team on higher value projects.
Salary is in the region of £50000 to £60000 (depending on your level) plus pension, CPD, discretionary bonus, RICS fees and other benefits plus excellent prospects for rapid promotion.
