THE ROLE My client seeks an Associate Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager (or Associate Director) to join them in Edinburgh.
This office is fairly new so there will be plenty of prospects for an ambitious QS.
You will be MRICS qualified and be able to lead and grow a small team, deal with clients, get involved in networking, business development etc.
My client works on a good range of projects for residential, leisure facilities, industrial warehousing, offices, schools and more.
THE COMPANY My client is an established firm of PQS with two offices currently.
They work on a good range of projects up to around £120m in value.
THE CANDIDATE You will be either an Associate Quantity Surveyor or Associate Director or ready to step up to Associate level and you must be MRICS qualified.
You should be working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants.
You should be able to deal with bids, fee proposals etc.
You need to be keen to get involved in networking, business development etc.
You should be able to help grow and supervise a small team in this relatively new office.
You should have used JCT contracts and any knowledge of NEC contracts would be useful.
You should have broad based project experience as my client is working on projects in the private and public sectors.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
Salary is negotiable around £65000 to £75000 plus benefits including pension, RICS fees, discretionary bonus, hybrid working one day per week, 26 days holiday plus public holidays, access to buy VIP tickets for the Hydro etc.
