The predicted salary is between 35550 - 43450 Β£ per year.
We are currently seeking a Civil & Drainage Engineer to join our client based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion.
You will help to design, develop and deliver solutions in civil engineering, drainage, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, external works and also for paving making sure that your work ensures compliance with the relevant industry regulations and current environmental standards. Projects are varied and will include work for schools and colleges, offices, residential, industrial, petrochemical and energy.
The Client
Our client is a successful, growing firm of consulting engineers with a number of UK offices.
The Candidate
You will need to have experience of the following:
- You must have a BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and ideally have an MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be useful although not essential.
- You should have around three years experience or more with a firm of civil / structural consulting engineers.
- You are likely to either be working towards becoming chartered or be keen to work towards chartership.
- You should have experience in designing and detailing of drainage systems and external works.
- Experience of producing technical documentation to include Flood Risk Assessments and for Drainage Impact Assessments.
- You need experience of doing on-site assessments as required.
- Experience of report writing to support planning applications and project delivery.
- You should have used Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk InfoDrainage (MicroDrainage) and ideally you will also be familiar with Site3D.
- You will report to a Senior or Principal Engineer.
- You must have worked in the UK for another firm of consulting engineers and have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.
- A full UK driving licence is required along with your own vehicle to enable you to attend meetings and get to sites, some of which may be fairly remote.
