Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to support our day-to-day financial operations and general office activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing accounts using QuickBooks
  • Preparing and reconciling monthly sales and supplier accounts
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Processing payroll, including PAYE
  • Managing workplace pensions (NEST)
  • Assisting the company accountant with year-end financial preparation
  • Handling general office administration duties
  • Responding to customer account queries and processing payments

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or office administration role
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of VAT, payroll (PAYE), and pension administration
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to handle customer enquiries professionally
