We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Social Worker to join the Children's Placement Service - Fostering, Support and Development on an agency basis.
Position Overview
- Having a good knowledge and experience working in accordance to Fostering regulations and NMS standards.
- Understanding and able to ensure all compliance for foster parents is updated and recorded on LCS.
- Communicate and support foster parents with trauma-informed understanding and therapeutic principles.
- To supervise foster carers ensuring all key areas of the role are discussed, recorded and challenged where necessary.
- To carry a case load of foster parents and complete all tasks in accordance to the role of SSW.
- To be able to efficiently record fostering annual reviews and when required to present to panel.
- To attend team meetings and work as part of the team supporting others where necessary.
- To be part of a duty rota, supporting foster carers, completing viability assessments when required, twice per month.
Qualifications
- BA Honors or Masters Degree in Social Work
- Social Work England Registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Full UK driver's license and access to a vehicle
- At least three years of post-qualifying experience employed directly within an LA children's service in England
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach with a dedication to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
