Due to recent job awards and continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join our expanding Groundworks & Civil Engineering division, based in Lincolnshire. We are a well-established contractor delivering groundwork and infrastructure projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards.

Projects will typically include:

  • Drainage & infrastructure
  • Foundations
  • External works
  • Earthworks and remediation
  • Residential groundwork packages

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple groundwork projects across the region
  • Overseeing Site Managers, Engineers and subcontract teams
  • Coordinating labour, plant and materials across sites
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Maintaining strong client and developer relationships
  • Monitoring health & safety compliance across all sites
  • Attending client and progress meetings
  • Supporting commercial teams with variations and cost control
  • Driving quality, performance and programme delivery
  • Resolving operational issues efficiently

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within Groundworks & Civil Engineering
  • Strong background in residential groundworks
  • Experience working with major housing developers
  • Excellent understanding of drainage, roads & sewers, and infrastructure works
  • Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential
