We operate under three distinct brands—ViajarPorEscocia.com (Spanish), ScoziaTour.com (Italian), and LochNessBus.com (English), serving over 100,000 travellers each year. While our tours span the UK, our operational and technical support teams are essential for keeping everything running safely and efficiently. You will be based at our Edinburgh depot, ensuring our fleet meets the highest safety and compliance standards.
We are seeking a meticulous Vehicle Examiner / PSV Inspector to maintain the safety, compliance, and readiness of our fleet. This depot-based role focuses on inspections and preparation for legislated testing, with no heavy mechanical work required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of our coaches according to safety and compliance checklists
- Prepare vehicles for DVSA Annual Test (ATF) and other legislated assessments
- Document and report inspection findings accurately and promptly
- Maintain accurate records in internal fleet management systems
- Collaborate with depot staff to uphold operational safety standards
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicles / PSV or equivalent (City & Guilds / IMI), or proven experience in PSV inspection
- Familiarity with DVSA standards and depot-based inspections
- Type B Driving licence acceptable for internal vehicle movement
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Desirable:
- IRTEC accreditation
- Training or experience in brakes, electrical systems, emissions, and fleet electronics
- Previous experience working in a depot-based inspection environment
- Full PCV (D) driving licence preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £40,000 – £48,000/year (depending on experience and certifications)
- Work Hours: Monday–Friday, daytime
