Your mission: This role sits at the heart of our Commercial team and blends high-performance sales with strategic customer relationship development – connecting with SAP professionals, converting prospects into delegates, and nurturing long-term engagement to support repeat attendance. You will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects and building a pipeline through to closing bookings, developing relationships, and executing post-event follow-up.
What you’ll do:
- Sales & pipeline management: Identify and research high-quality prospects across relevant sectors, job titles, and organisations, as well as outreach to past attendees and relevant contacts in our existing database. Work with SAP, SAP partners and other stakeholders to build targeted attendee lists and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with monthly and event targets. Work with event production team to identify upsell opportunities through our speakers. Deliver proactive outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to past delegates, warm leads, and new prospects. Own the full sales cycle from first contact through to confirmed delegate bookings, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue, conversion, and activity KPIs. Record activity, track conversions, and manage opportunities in HubSpot (or CRM).
- Customer relationship & account growth: Build trust-based relationships with delegates to encourage multi-event attendance, retention, and long-term engagement. Develop a strong understanding of event topics, audience segments, and customer challenges to tailor outreach and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities. Work closely with Marketing to refine messaging, segment audiences, and support campaign targeting for maximum sales impact.
- Post-event follow-up & CRM: Execute structured post-event follow-up to convert new contacts into future bookings. Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records to support forecasting, reporting, and pipeline growth.
Your profile: Proven experience in delegate sales, inside sales, or customer engagement, ideally in B2B events or conferences. Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to engage senior-level professionals. Comfortable working to outreach, conversion, and revenue targets. Experience managing a sales pipeline with CRM tools (HubSpot desirable). Organised, proactive, commercially minded, and customer focused.
