We’re a small, friendly accountancy practice supporting owner‑managed businesses — and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, building relationships with clients, and working in a relaxed but professional environment.
The Role
- Managing client bookkeeping
- Preparing VAT returns (MTD)
- Running client payrolls and handling RTI
- Managing auto‑enrolment pensions
- Liaising with HMRC and third parties
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
About You
- Experienced in bookkeeping and payroll (practice experience ideal)
- Confident with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar software
- Strong understanding of UK payroll and VAT
- Organised, detail‑focused and client‑friendly
- Comfortable working independently within a small team
