We’re a small, friendly accountancy practice supporting owner‑managed businesses — and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, building relationships with clients, and working in a relaxed but professional environment.

The Role

  • Managing client bookkeeping
  • Preparing VAT returns (MTD)
  • Running client payrolls and handling RTI
  • Managing auto‑enrolment pensions
  • Liaising with HMRC and third parties
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members

About You

  • Experienced in bookkeeping and payroll (practice experience ideal)
  • Confident with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar software
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll and VAT
  • Organised, detail‑focused and client‑friendly
  • Comfortable working independently within a small team
