We are looking for Football Team Managers for just 2 remaining foundation phase teams (U8s & U11s). Each age group will have two teams:

  • One playing Division 3 or above (intermediate to advanced)
  • One playing Division 4 or below (mixed ability, not beginner level)

1x U8 intermediate mixed ability - 5v5 football

1x U11 intermediate to advanced - 7v7 football

Your role will be to lead your team at training and match days, and have excellent communication skills with your team's parents. You will bring ideas to your sessions around the club's philosophy, ethos, and training structure.

TRAINING TIMES AND LOCATIONS:

Royal Russell School, South Croydon

  • U8s → Thursdays 6–7pm
  • U11s → Thursdays 7–8pm

MATCH TIME AND LOCATIONS:

Home games Beddington Cricket Club, Wallington Saturday mornings Kick offs anytime between 9.30am and 11.30am Away game venues and kick off decided by opposition (games across Croydon, Sutton, Surrey)

THIS IS A PAID ROLE - Details

1 training session 1 match 1/2hr team admin per week Pay will be between £1,800 - £2,375 per season which covers 38 weeks of coaching, depending on the team you are coaching.

You will be supported throughout by:

  • Head of Coaching
  • Club co-ordinator
  • Senior coaching staff

Plus FREE ongoing CPD through:

  • Observations
  • 1-to-1 support
  • Coach development sessions
  • Access to watch a Premier League academy team train

The Perfect Candidate Will Tick The Boxes Below:

  • You'll have experience coaching football in the foundation phase (primary school children)
  • You'll be an FA Qualified coach - Introduction to Football as a minimum for intermediate teams, UEFA C / FA Level 2 preferred for advanced teams
  • You will have a clean Enhanced DBS or ability to gain one through us
  • You won't live too far away from us!
  • You won't be shy and have bundles of energy and enthusiasm when coaching our children
  • You’ll love the idea of working in a small team and understand the importance of doing a great job!
  • You’ll love forming positive bonds with our parents and respect their hard earned money being spent on us
  • Ideally you will drive and have access to your own car. Not a deal breaker for us, but definitely important!
  • You will place a huge importance on communicating with your team's parents, and our management team
  • You’ll be reliable, hard working, and all the usual stuff too!
