Responsibilities
- Deliver a portfolio of projects to the required quality, time and budget, showing self‑checking, with minimum input by others.
- Have a positive attitude towards checking and quality.
- Plan and prioritise tasks effectively for yourself with minimal input by others, reporting back on progress and delivering on commitments you have made.
- Understand the relationship between hours worked and project cost, budgets and commercial pressures.
- Monitor your project's CAD progress against costs and programme.
- Provide guidance to more junior members of the CAD/BIM team.
Qualifications
- A high level of ability in the Bentley suite of products and able to provide guidance to others.
- A high level of ability in applying procedures and standards that apply to CAD/Modelling and provide guidance to others.
- Experience of electrical and/or mechanical engineering design principles and standards.
- Experience of working with contractors in a design and build environment.
- Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development.
- Experience of using data management systems.
- Experience of safety standards and CDM regulations with a track record of applying them, showing an ability to identify and mitigate hazards in designs.
- Experience of construction principles and standards.
- Knowledge of the transportation sector.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience of using other CAD/BIM modelling products such as AutoDesk.
- Experience of Projectwise.
- Ability to travel to other offices when required.
