The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.

We are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced Development Planner at a Principal level.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver transport planning services for a wide range of developments across the UK, including key high‑profile infrastructure projects.
  • Produce Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Access Appraisals.
  • Conduct traffic modelling and abnormal loads assessments.
  • Produce reports for both private and public sector clients.
  • Manage project budgets and deliverables.
  • Manage client relationships and support business development in the DP sector.
  • Provide leadership by encouraging involvement of—and taking responsibility for—the outputs of junior staff.
  • Communicate both written and verbally, responding positively to challenges and challenging others constructively to deliver desired outcomes of a project.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and/or Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation or the Transport Planning Professional qualification.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the planning process.
  • Experience in traffic modelling and abnormal loads assessments.

Based in either Newcastle or Leeds or our Glasgow office, the successful candidate will also contribute to business growth by managing client relationships and participating in marketing and proposal activities.
