The Modeller will work with a team of other modellers and engineers producing and delivering the electrical and mechanical design of allocated Projects as instructed by the projects Lead Engineer and/or the Senior Modeller.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Deliver a portfolio of projects to the required quality, time and budget, showing self-checking, with minimum input by others.
  • Have a positive attitude towards checking and quality.
  • Plan and prioritise tasks effectively for yourself with minimal input by others, reporting back on progress and delivering on commitments you have made.
  • Provide guidance to more junior members of the CAD/BIM team.
  • Demonstrate behaviours aligned with SYSTRA’s behavioural framework by actively fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, respect and empowerment, contributing to an environment where all colleagues can thrive, achieve and grow together.

Profile/Skills

  • A high level of ability in the Bentley suite of products and able to provide guidance to others.
  • A high level of ability in applying procedures and standards that apply to CAD/Modelling and provide guidance to others.
  • Experience of working with contractors in a design and build environment.
  • Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development.
  • Experience of using data management systems.
  • Experience of safety standards and CDM regulations and a track record of applying them, showing an ability to identify and mitigate hazards in designs.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience of using other CAD/BIM modelling products such as AutoDesk/Revit would be useful.
  • Experience of Projectwise would be useful.
  • Ability to travel to other offices on occasion.
